Checkerboard Corral

The highlight of most everyone's trip includes a stop at the Purina Checkerboard Corral Petting Zoo. Nearly every species of livestock - beef cattle, dairy cattle, goats, poultry, swine and rabbits - can be found inside this fun and educational area.

Visitors can get up close and personal with several different types of animals and can experience what sheep wool feels like, how big a cow really is, what they eat, and even how the smell!

In the Iowa Pork Producers Farrowing Display, you can experience the miracle of life! The Farrowing Display will feature daily live births of baby pigs! Watch as they take their first steps, see how their mothers nurture them and witness how they react to the world.
